Our Story

How it all started...

The current Bedford congregation was birthed in August of 2012 through the coming together of two Foursquare churches: The Bedford Foursquare Church, and The Harvest Community, the Southern NH Foursquare Church. The name “The Trinity Life Community” (TLC) was adopted by unanimous vote of the congregation in early 2013, based on the values and vision of the church as discerned by the Community.

Expanding the vision...

January 2016 saw our Community with other churches in our area to start the Bedford Food Pantry, helping people in Bedford who are facing food insecurity.

In May of 2016, the former Hope Chapel in Nashua joined Trinity Life Community and, in the Fall of 2017, became a campus of our Community.

Another milestone in the ministry of TLC was the launching in January of 2017 of The Trinity Early Learning Center (TELC), which ministers to the developmental needs of children six weeks old through K5. Through TELC, our Community seeks to be a blessing to the greater Bedford area. In 2018 we expanded our educational discipleship of children to include primary grades through The Trinity School of Bedford.

As part of the way that we serve in extending God’s Kingdom is through Church Planting. To that end, our Community was instrumental in launching two new churches – Crystal River Foursquare Church in Crystal River, FL (in 2014), and New Life Community Foursquare Church in Portsmouth, NH (in 2018).

Where we are headed...

We will continue to pursue the initiatives which God Jesus has already catalyzed in and through us. Yet, we are always seeking Him for what is next, looking for His creativity and gifting in those who are part of our Community. Following the examples of Jesus’ first disciples, here is how we see that happening:

Becoming an Apostolic Community— encouraging, enriching and empowering every member of the Community to live a life fully alive in Christ, and to have full participation in His mission (Ephesians 4:11-12)

Awareness and Response—not trying to make anything happen, in life or ministry, but responding to everything we see the Father doing (John 5:19; Ephesians 2:10)

Going and Sending— each one of us seeing ourselves as co-laborers with God in His spiritual "harvest field," everyone going locally with the good news of Jesus Christ, starting new churches regionally and some being sent to the ends of the Earth (Luke 10:1-2; Acts 8:14-17; Acts 13:1-2)

Global Mission— every member of the community fully engaged with the global passion of Jesus—in their own neighborhood and across the planet-through prayer, giving, and witness (Acts 1:8)
